I read this book in English and than I read it in Spanish too , this time for my Spanish education.(i'm not a Spanish speaker. Not yet !)In fact I read a few of Connelly books and , I would say , the "El Observatorio" doesn't seem to be one of his best .But , this is not to say this thriller is not... thrilling !The problem is that over the entire book , hovers a light note of naivety . "A storm in a teacup " would illustrate well this sensation .But you know, this could very well be just a personal feeling ,other way not justifiable .A physician is killed and at the same time, a great quantity of radioactive Cesium disappears from a Hospital..A terrorist plot is suspected which bring in the FBI and with it , the special FBI agent, Rachel Walling. The usual conflict of interests between the Police and FBI appears as expected and on this settingthe DCI Harry Bosch and Special FBI agent, Rachel Walling couple , find again a good occasion toexpose their many-Connelly-books hate/love relation. For me at least. their conversations along the story, are sometimes ,not intentionally, producing a smile . .But a smile is good, too !All in all , this book can provide a few agreeable lecture moments (try a rainy afternoon !)
