Description

Every Bosch Oxygen Sensor benefits from the technological and manufacturing experience gained from decades of production, since first inventing the Oxygen Sensor in the late 1960's, ensuring long-lasting, superior performance that you can count on. Bosch universal oxygen sensors are designed for situations where the original connectors are too damaged to be reused with an exact fit oxygen sensor. Universal sensors require wire splicing to connect to the vehicle. All needed components required for installation are included and no soldering is required. When vehicle side connector/cable is in good condition, exact fit oxygen sensors are the preferred solution. When that is not an option, Bosch universal oxygen sensors are the right choice.

Features

[SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE] - Every Bosch Oxygen Sensor benefits from the technological and manufacturing experience gained from decades of production since the first Oxygen Sensor was invented in the late 1960's, ensuring long-lasting, superior performance

[FACTORY TESTED] - Each sensor meets Bosch's rigorous standards for quality and performance and undergoes a fully functional quality test before leaving the factory to ensure operation within design specifications

[STAINLESS STEEL BODY] - Stainless steel body is totally submersible and sealed tight to protect against damage from exhaust emissions — ensuring longer sensor service life

[UNIVERSAL FIT] - Includes OE Smart Link Connector that requires no soldering and two feet of sensor wire to allow maximum replacement of worn or damaged harnesses - the ideal solution when factory connectors aren't usable

[FOR USE WITH DAMAGED VEHICLE SIDE CONNECTORS/CABLES] - Bosch Universal Oxygen Sensors are designed for situations where the original vehicle side connectors/cables are too damaged to be reused with an exact fit oxygen sensor

Compatible with select vehicles (Note verify specific fitment details, including sensor position, with fit checker above)

Since this is a universal type O2 sensor it came with no connector which I expected and planned for. What I did not plan for was it to only include the O2 sensor and not the butt connectors or anything else in the product image. I should take a star off from it but enough morons are taking stars off for it being exactly what they should have expected so I wont. I planned to wrap mine in shrink wrap and some specialty hose anyway. I had to buy butt connectors though since this is supposed to come with them.I replaced my Denso(possibly stock) post cat O2 with this in late Feb. I had to have the check engine light gone for March to pass inspection. I knew the check engine light was for my post cat O2 so I picked this up. The weekend after installing it I went on a cruise put roughly 500 miles on the car in a single day. This put me way outside the ready period and we stopped a few times so this was a pretty good stress test. I passed inspection mid March without a single issue. For those of you that have never replaced a O2 sensor before here are some tips. It was my first time doing this too.Don't bother trying to solder(some cars might be OK).By a ratcheting butt connector crimper. I tried use pliers, dikes, even a racheting clamp. Those things are HARD to crimp.Make sure you have enough room to work and everything within reach. Climbing out from under the car every time you need a different tool or part is no fun.get extra butt connectors. I had a few not get a good grab on the wire and it pulled lose with a slight tug. Since it was already crimped I couldn't reuse it.GIVE YOUR SELF EXTRA WIRE TO WORK WITH. Because of the issue above this one I had to cut my wires more times than I would like. Luckily I gave myself a lot of extra wire to work with. I suggest you do the same.
