Exact replacementWorks perfectIf your dishwasher is continuously filling and then emptying, this is the part you need to replace. It requires only moderate DIY skill - and can be replaced in 10-15mins or less. Onle one side panel need be removed (left on mine) and you will need some strong pliers to remove the pipe spring-clips, as well as a torx screwdriver bit (size varies between models, but a size either side of 20 should be right).Four stars because although it's the original part, it could be cheaper. £12 at the time of purchase for something barely worth a pound. If you are more skilled with DIY and a soldering iron, and you can be bothered, then you can replace the reed switch in your existing impeller jug instead, which should only cost about 60p or less. I felt lazy, so ordered the complete part :-)Also note, this is cheaper than buying from Bosch by around £6.At the start of a program my Bosch SGS43T92GB/36 dishwasher was sometimes filling then draining repeatedly, and other times, the pump was continually draining, even when the door was opened. Manually operating the float switch in the bottom of the cavity of the machine did not stop the pump running. So took side off machine, and bottom plate (I did not need to remove the top). Tested 3 way float switch in underneath of machine - if it's working there should be continuity between outer pins when the switch is open and continuity between pins 1 and 2 when its closed (pin 1 being nearest top of machine). Therefore concluded Impeller Jug likely faulty.Removed old jug and tested resistance across pins 1 and 3 (two little holes in it to get your multimeter probes in, but can be tricky to get contact) and it was negligible. Blew through it and it made a whizzing noise and resistance did not appear to vary with speed of blow as I expected and as had been indicated in another review. Thought "maybe my multimeter is not sensitive enough" and ordered replacement part. Tested new part with multimeter in same way and behaved the same. However, it sounded distinctly different when I blew through it - higher pitched and with a distinct click sound - thought aha! must be that the tiny internal magnet had fallen off my old one like I read online. Put new part in machine...et voila, working dishwasher!I shudder to think how many otherwise perfect machines have been scrapped for want of a 13 quid part because people are too scared to have a go and scandalously cheap labour in the far east means it costs so much more to get someone to fix it in the UK than new machines sell for.As others have said, this cheap part solves a common problem and is not complicated to locate and replace. Worth taking a photo or 2 to ensure it goes back on in the correct flow direction and with any cables connected correctly. In my case (Bosch Exxcel SGS46E08GB/75) the fault presented as water constantly flowing into the DW and pumping straight back out, the check water light on and the program timer not progressing properly. Easy to see the water constantly flowing through with left side cover off.Product arrived on time.In about 10 minutes the installation was finished and the dishwasher is running up again.Easy to replace, so give a try and save some money ?My Bosch SHV55M03GB/70 dishwasher started filling and draining continuously with the red tap indication always coming on.Fitted this part and now it works perfectly, with no red tap indicator. To test the part use a multimeter with continuity beep on pins 1 and 3. When blowing through the device slowly, it should beep on and off as the impeller rotates. If you do not get this, then the part is faulty.
